5 Everyday Moments the Quran Calls Ayat

June 4, 2026

An ayah is more than a verse. It is a sign, something that points you to Allah. In the final episode of the Foundations of Faith series, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan explains that the Quran constantly directs our eyes outward and asks us to find ayat everywhere. Here are five everyday moments the Quran itself singles out.

1. Looking Up at a Flawless Sky

Turn your eyes to the sky and try to find a crack (67:3)1. The Quran makes staring upward a religious exercise. The flaw you fail to find is the point.

2. Birds Holding Themselves in the Air

Do they not see the birds above them, spreading and folding their wings? (67:19)2 The next time a bird catches your eye, let it carry your thoughts further than the bird.

3. Standing in Front of a Camel

Do they not look at the camel and how it was created? (88:17)3 The Quran turns even a visit to see an animal into reflection. Creation up close is designed to make you wonder.

4. The Love Between Spouses

Among His signs is that He created spouses for you and placed love and mercy between you (30:21)4. The Quran names human love itself an ayah, an experience worth exploring and being grateful for.

5. Your Own Fingertips

Allah reminds us that He is able to perfect even the tips of our fingers (75:3-4)5. The detail you carry on your own hands is a sign you never have to travel to see.

The purpose of every ayah is the same: to give you direction and bring you closer to Allah. Worship is not only recitation in the masjid. Watching the ocean, a bird or a cloud becomes worship when it sends you back to the One who made it.

Train your eyes to see the ayat around you. Watch the Foundations of Faith series and continue your Quran journey on Bayyinah TV
