Bayyinah has now opened registration for the 2013-2014 semester of our part-time programs, as well as our new continuing studies program, which is available for sisters who have completed either the Dream or part-time programs.

Our part-time courses are taught by Faizan Mumtaz and Fuseina Mohamad and will be held at the Islamic Association of Collin County in Plano, Texas. The courses last seven months and cover grammatical foundations of Arabic, morphology and other topics. Classes meet from November 4 to May 15. Click here for an outlined course description.

The part-time course is designed for working professionals, university students and parents who would like to gain a foundation in the Arabic language. There are two classes open, one for sisters only (mornings) and one for brothers and sisters (evenings). Our inaugural class graduated alongside our Dream 2013 students and we are excited to continue the programs for next year.

In addition, Bayyinah’s first sisters’ continuing studies course is now available for Dream and part-time program graduates. The course, taught by Fuseina Mohamed, is designed to allow students to exercise the Nahwu and Sarf skills they acquired during the programs, as well as continue to learn more advanced topics. During the program we will conduct a comprehensive study of Surat ul Anbiyya, and explore the Nahwu, Sarf and Tafsir of this Surah. The program meets every Monday and starts on September 30. Click here for more details about the course.

Bayyinah held its first convention-style event last year at Amazed by the Qur’an. We’re continuing the tradition this year with our Story Night event at the Irving Convention Center.

Story Night has been an extremely successful one-night program taught by Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan. He describes the course as follows:

“The Qur’an has remarkable beauty from countless perspectives, one that has always captured my curiosity is the incredible style of divine story telling. Allah chose to tell parts of Ibrahim’s (AS) account in one surah, parts in another and parts, in yet another. Why did He do that? An attempt to answer this question is what Story Night is all about. I hope to share one of my favorite examples of Qur’anic story telling.

One last thing: If teaching material passes two tests, I consider it worth traveling the country with it. First, that am I personally mesmerized by the lessons, and second, did my children find it engaging enough to want me to continue night after night?. Story night passes these two tests so I hope you enjoy it as much as the kids and I have.”

Schedule: Saturday, June 1, 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Location: Irving Convention Center – 500 West Las Colinas Blvd., Irving, TX 75039

Tuition: $20

Register here

*This class is recommended for ages 7 and above. The fee is $20 for kids and adults. There will be no babysitting. Children 6 years and younger may attend for free. However, families with children 6 years an younger will be requested to sit in the family section.

As-salam ‘alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

You may have noticed that things look a bit different around Bayyinah.com. We’re happy to present our new website design, full of content revisions and updates.

So what’s new?

We’ve reviewed all the written content on each page and have made significant changes to make the site more readable and easier to navigate. There’s also several pages that underwent significant updates. Here’s a list of some of our favorite changes:

About Bayyinah
History
Faculty
Bayyinah News
Youth Night
Bayyinah Kids
Qur’an Intensive section
Dream section
Part-time programs

How do I navigate the site?

We’ve cleaned up the menus to be more cohesive across the entire website. The header menu stays static and allows easy navigation, also, the sidebar menus are unique depending on the page and its section. If you get lost, you can look at the header area, which can tell you where you’re at and how you got there.

What else can I do?

Make sure to check out the new content on Bayyinah TV and our Podcast. We have a lot more on the way soon InshaAllah.

If you run into any problems using the website, please contact us.
