What's it like being a student in the Dream program? We'll let our students do the talking! Checkout the articles and videos below from our Dream graduates.

I Dream of Arabic

"I guess Allah led me to this, subhanallah alhamdulilah. To say it was a yearning, might be an overstatement, but maybe there is some yearning to it, not the kind I feel with the Quran, but because my Quran teacher told me that I need to learn Arabic in order to help my hifdh, and I knew deep in my heart that Arabic is the foundation and the key for me to move forward...” - Juli Herman, 2015 Dream Student

Waking up to reality

"Every part of my life has changed, from my eating and sleeping habits to the amount of Qur’an I can read and understand in a day. My forms of entertainment, value for time, respect and understanding of the miraculous nature of the Qur’an, and knowledge of my role in the Muslim community have been irrevocably and positively impacted.” - Midhat Patel, 2014 graduate

Thinking about doing Dream 2013?

"I would suggest that you do not come into the program completely fresh to Arabic, since the program is pretty fast-paced and you don’t want this to be your first ever exposure to the Arabic language…” -Meena Malik, 2012 graduate (3 months into the program)

Living the Bayyinah Dream

"What’s impossible to capture in an essay is the love that we found at Dream. We didn’t have a campus, we had a home. We weren’t classmates, we were brothers and sisters….” -Fuseina Mohamad, 2012 graduate

Bayyinah Dream - So How Was It?

"A few years back, I developed a desire to some how understand the meaning of the Qur’an. I developed an intense yearning to leave off everything for some time to go study Arabic…” -Nihal Khan, 2011 graduate

The new Dream campus is currently under construction. The 2015-2016 Dream classes will be held in the current Dream campus located at 2300 Valley View Ln, Irving TX. The campus accommodates many student needs with a state-of-the-art classroom, prayer areas, kitchen and student lounges. Students often use the campus after classroom hours to relax or study.

Advice From Our Teachers

  Student Life

Sisters Speaking Group
Sisters group

Bayyinah does not provide student housing. Students relocating for the Dream program are responsible for their own living arrangements for the duration of the program.

Bayyinah connects students after their acceptance in order to find roommates. Separate email discussions are arranged for brothers and sisters to help arrange living situations themselves. This has been successful every year so far at Bayyinah. Please note that Bayyinah does not organize the actual living arrangements, but only facilitates the conversation with other accepted students.

There is no public transportation to campus. Students are NOT encouraged to walk or bike to campus. Students will need to own a car, or room with someone who does, or arrange rides with classmates, to get to campus. Students interested in living in Irving can consider housing complexes around the Islamic Center of Irving (listed below)

Please contact housing and apartment complexes directly for information. An online mapping service such as Google Maps can be used determine how far a housing complex is from campus (2300 Valley View Lane, Irving TX 75062)

Irving Housing Complexes
Tuscany, Andalus and Andalus II Villas. Many students have been able to successfully rent homes or rooms in homes from local community members in these complexes.

Irving Apartment Complexes There are also numerous apartment complexes in the Irving area that students may consider such as: Ladera Ranch (formerly Windtree Apartments), San Simeon, Heather Ridge, and Colinas Pointe, to name a few.
