Student Testimonial for Tajweed Essentials

We wanted to share an email we received from a sister who took the Tajweed Essentials course in Arizona:

I am a 32 years old Egyptian stay at home mother of three, who just finish my Tajweed course with brother Wisam Sharief, and I have to say this, before I started, I thought it will be another complicated non-understandable Tajweed class, but not just I really learned how to read the book of Allah az wa jal as it was revealed, this class was a life changing experience for me, and a turning point, it was beyond Tajweed, it was building a whole new pure relationship with Allah subhanaho wata’ala, I came out hungry for more, and deep inside I wished it will never end. From Dream to Reality

Assalamu Alaikum Everyone.

This is your Brother Nouman Ali Khan. I and all of my esteemed colleagues at Bayyinah are barely able to contain our excitement in announcing that the Dream project is looking to become a reality in fall of 2010 as originally anticipated. We have finalized the location and are going to be signing papers at the end of March. Before then, we need to raise an additional $100,000 to be able to secure the venue, furnish it and be ready for the first batch of 50 students in mid September insha Allah. We are hoping to accomplish the raising of these funds by encouraging each of our locations to come up with only 10 Bayyinah well-wishers that can contribute $100 a month through our automated pledge form at bayyinah.com/dream. If you are able to contribute or know folks that would like to help out, please strongly encourage them to do so.

This is going to be the only program of its kind in America and insha Allah represents a major next step in the education of the American Muslim community. I hope that all of you realize the importance of the success of this venture and I pray that Allah makes the program a success and means of delivering goodness to communities all across this country.

New Bayyinah SUMMER Program – With NEW COURSES

Thinking about what to do this summer?  Bayyinah Summer is the opportunity you need to get away, have some fun, and study some Arabic – all at the same time.  This summer, we are offering exciting new courses in locations such as New York, Chicago, & Houston among others.  The possibilities range from beautifying your recitation by studying advanced tajweed with Br. Wisam, delving into the beauty and eloquence of the Quranic language with Sh. AbdulNasir, or sharpening your skills and ability to read Arabic texts with Br. Nouman.  If you aren’t quite ready for one of these intermediate courses, you also have the opportunity to take one of our many beginner courses in Quranic recitation, tajweed, and Arabic grammar.  Don’t miss this chance to have both a fun and productive summer break by attending one of Bayyinah’s summer classes with our instructors who make even the most daunting subjects easy to understand and fun to learn.  With so many locations and dates, you’ll surely be able to plan your summer around at least one of these amazing classes!

Humanitarian Crisis in Haiti: Please Help

Assalamu ‘Alaykum-

As everyone has heard by now, there is a severe crisis going on in Haiti right now after the devastating earthquake there. Thousands upon thousands of people have lost their lives, and there are over one million facing extreme difficulties in receiving food, water, and medical care.

We encourage everyone to help however they can. We begin first and foremost by praying to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala to alleviate their suffering and rescue them from this crisis. Secondly, we encourage everyone to do their best in fulfilling the rights of those in need by helping in any way they can.

New Website Launch, Updates, and Dream Project

We welcome all of you to the newly redesigned bayyinah.com. We hope you will take some time to take a look around the website, as there are a lot of updates to the course descriptions and instructor biographies. The student registration system has also been redone, and you can access it by clicking on the Student Center link at the top of the page.

Website Updates

The tafseer lectures on the Dream page are in the process of being edited for audio quality, and will be posted soon. Meanwhile, our weekly broadcasts will continue on Tuesday nights at 8:10pm Central Time.

The lectures will also now be podcasted for easier access, and you can go to the podcast page for more information (or click here to subscribe directly in iTunes).

We have also redone our YouTube channel, and you can now find all the online videos of Bayyinah instructors in the playlists on the top right column.

Dream Project Updates

Regarding the Dream project, we have made significant progress in the last few days in regards to finalizing critical details regarding the campus location and layout. In a few days we will, insha’Allah, post significant details regarding our progress. With the help of Allah, and your sincere prayers, things are looking very promising.

The application process will launch as originally anticipated close to the end of December, and Allah knows best.
