About

Mission

Bayyinah’s mission is to make the appreciation of Islam’s sacred texts accessible to the world. For us, the accomplishment of this mission means that we must excel in providing education and resources in two areas; (i) Arabic studies and (ii) linguistic and literary analysis of sacred Islamic texts. We believe that Muslims have the right to education in both of these areas that should be innovative, easy, affordable and accessible.

We are far from accomplishing our mission and yet we are ever grateful to have made tremendous strides along this blessed journey already. We are more excited and driven than ever before to make this organization a vehicle to serve the masses of Muslims and non-Muslims.

Strategy

To make our vision a reality, we serve the community in the following ways;

1. Free Audio Library

Our free library is a life-long partnership between our two lead instructors, Nouman Ali Khan and AbdulNasir Jangda. They hope to complete a thorough literary study of the entire Qur’an over the next several years. The library is updated every week and has already become one of Bayyinah’s most appreciated services.

2. Bayyinah.TV

Bayyinah TV is a continually growing video collection of exclusive Qur’anic and Arabic video series. Each video series serves as a comprehensive educational experience. Currently we have 3 comprehensive series:

Arabic with Husna (68 videos & growing weekly)

Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan teaches Qur’anic Arabic to his daughter Husna and you can join her in your own learning quest. Each lesson is designed to be short but comprehensive. A great Qur’anic Arabic course for adults & children, self learners, home schoolers and Islamic schools.

Qur’an: Cover to Cover (200 videos & growing weekly)

A flowing translation of the Qur’an with an emphasis on coherence and subtleties lost in translation. An effective way of getting introduced to the Qur’an through a guided study. The explanation is made simple to understand and deep in meaning.

Divine Speech (43 videos)

Why does the Qur’an repeat itself so much? How come it uses ‘We’ for God? Why aren’t the stories in chronological order? Why are they scattered piecemeal and not mentioned one whole story at a time? What’s the point of God taking oaths by the Sun, the moon, the morning, battle horses and figs to name a few? Why is the Qur’an in the order it is in? Why do subjects change so frequently? This compelling series addresses these and many other questions pertaining to the hidden literary beauty and power of the Qur’an.

3. Travelling Seminars

Shaikh AbdulNasir Jangda, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan, and Faizan Mumtaz travel across the United States and sometimes also internationally to offer limited engagement seminars that are highly engaging, enjoyable and fun for the whole family. They make it their mission to keep a light, easy going atmosphere in their programs. Adults, kids and non-Muslims are all welcome to any one of our travelling seminars.

 4.  Month Long – Summer Intensive

Qur’an Intensive is our highly successful 30 day Arabic and Qur’an study program that is held in Dallas every year. Sheikh Abdul Nasir conducts this intensive single handedly and covers an extensive Qur’anic Arabic curriculum along with a significant amount of Qur’anic analysis lectures. It is the best use of your summer vacation with the family!

5. Nine Month – Full Time Studies

The Dream program is our most elaborate and extensive educational offering. From September to June, students engage in a full time Arabic and Qur’anic studies program. Though the faculty includes a number of teachers and teachers’ assistants, the bulk of the program is taught by Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan. Students learn and apply grammar, internalize an extensive vocabulary, learn to speak, read and write in Arabic. By the fourth month, only Arabic is spoken on campus except once a week. Only the very serious need apply.
