Despite being born a Muslim, I did not understand Allahβs book, and as a teenager, I found myself in I'tikaaf during Ramadan at the Muslim Center of New York City, tears streaming down my face out of shame that Allah is talking to me and I canβt understand him. Yet, I poured my heart out to Allah, yearning to hear His voice.
I pleaded, knowing that within its verses lay the answers I sought.
And so, my journey of discovery beganβnot with the goal of reaching its end, but with the intention of drawing closer to the endless well of wisdom contained within the Quran.
Each Surah, each Ayah, became a revelation, a mirror reflecting my own journey, my own struggles, my own aspirations. The Quran became my refuge in times of desperation, my source of healing.
And in that realization, I found humility, awe and an insatiable thirst for more.

We aim to provide as many people as possible around the world with direct access to an enriched understanding of the Quran. We do this by removing barriers wherever they exist, whether financial, geographical or language-based.
Beyond access, we strive to ensure that every seeker of the Quran moves beyond the surface and experiences a rich, meaningful engagement with it. Our goal is to nurture a lifelong, deeply rooted connection with the Book of Allah.

We apply this approach internally as we seek to understand the Quran better, one ayah at a time. We also emphasize to our students the importance of critical thinking, intellectual honesty and humility as they embark on their lifelong engagement with the infinite wisdom of Allahβs final message.
The Quran will always be our primary pursuit. Ustadh Nouman has committed the next 15 years to completing a deeper study of the Quran.
